How to make money and get backlinks with E-How
Here's another way to make some money with the knowledge that's sitting in your head. If you know something that the average person doesn't than Ehowis just right for you. E-how is known as the "How to" place. In fact every article starts with "How to" in the title. As you would expect from the title all the articles are setup as How to's. Each article has an introduction, steps 1 through as many as you need, resources (links you add) and links to similiar how to's. You get paid a % of the Google Adsense they make from your page and you can link to your site in the Resources section. To Keep with the theme of E-How I'll write the rest in their format excluding the Introduction. Step 1: Choose a Topic Pick a topic your familiar with and you want to share. Unlike Qassia you have to put it into "how to" format with specific steps. You can never be too specific their are some requests for very specific things like - "How to Install Low Voltage Landscape Lighting". Step 2: Join eHow Before writing the article you need to join eHow. You don't need an invitation to do this just go to www.ehow.com. You'll need to do the username and password thing and there is also a profile similiar to here on Qassia . Step 3: Write and Article Once you have an account created go to your Profile (last tab at top of page) then select "Write an Article" which will be the second menu over. This takes you to the template for creating articles. This is the best part of eHow it's easy for anyone to create the articles using the template. Step 4: Writing an Article > Getting Started: This is the first page of the article template. Here you title the article add images and video, write a brief introduction, and list any "things you'll need". Things you'll need could be Internet access, shovel, and a big hole for all the useless things you find on the internet sometimes. Try and get a title that people will search for on the Internet. Step 5: Writing an Article > Add Article Steps: You guessed it this is where you add your actual steps. They recommend that you keep each step to only 2-3 sentences. Make sure it makes sense and good news you can edit it even after your done writing the article. Try to keep it in laymans terms so everyone could follow it. You have to have 3 steps, but this has never been a problem. You can add pictures for each step if the topic lends itself to it. Step 6: Writing an Article > Tips and Warnings: Add any additional tips you have. If your writing about Plasma TV's you may mention that the best sales are after Christmas before the Super Bowl. Step 7: Writing an Article > Spell Check: Along the way you can Preview each section before moving on to the next. It also allows you to Spell Check each section as you go. There is nothing worse than mis-spellings in an article, I admin I'm guilty of it here at Qassia . Step 8: Writing an Article > Categorize It: The Next section allows you to list categories for your article. You can list up to 5 categories. You can also add keywords that will go with your article just like Qassia. Finally you can add other eHow articles and other Resources. This is a great place to add your website to the resource list if it fits the article. Step 9: Writing an Article > Publish It: Next you can save it as a Draft or Publish It. Go ahead and Publish It you can edit it later if you need to. The article automatically posts and my articles are indexed quite quickly on Google. Step 10: Sign up for Writer Compensation Program In order to get paid a portion of the Google Adsense that people click on surrounding your article you have to sign up for the Writer Compensation Program. They don't guarantee a certain % it's kind of vague based on how many people view your article. It's easy to sign up: a) Have an Ehow account b)Sign up here for the Writer Compensation Program c) Write and Publish articles d) Get earnings deposited to Paypal At the end of the day I've made some extra money from eHow. Most of the articles were things I needed to write for my web sites anyways so it was easy to change it to fit with eHow. So dust of some of your old articles and get your fingers ready to type and make some money and get some great backlinks. See my example below - "How to get CISA certified."

Contributor's Note
I enjoy learning new things and trying to share that new knowledge with other people. This has led me to eHow, Qassia, HubPages and other article sites. It's also led me to create sites regarding domaining, Plasma TV's, IT certifications, CISA Books, jewelry stores and many others - mwlucas.
